They should be looked at as guidance material that can help you discover your potential. And while these folks are obviously gifted in their abilities, you should always trust your own intuition over all else.

Your Heart’s Desire by Sonia Choquette
If I were allowed to recommend only one book, this would be it. This is a book about your power of creation. Sonia postulates that we are all co-creators with God. This means while there are certain challenges we must face in life, we do have a very high degree of control over how we experience it.

What you focus on, you create. If you want love, happiness, health, abundance and success in your life, that is what you must focus on. Oppositely, if you focus on how bad things are, or how scary the world is, that will be what you create in your life. You can’t focus on something over time and not create it. So you might as well focus on the good. This book is an instruction manual on how to do just that.

Psychic Living by Stacey Wolfe
This book is full of great ideas to develop your intuition. It’s one of the first I read and still one of my favorites. Stacey is a Gen-Xer, and as most Gen-Xers she’s interested in the practical. There’s no fluff in this book, just good practical information that can be helpful in discovering your gifts.

Soul Mates by Richard Webster
While this book is good as far as the nature of soul mate and karmic relation ships go, I like this book for its past life regression meditations. I’ve used them myself and found them to be as good as anything else I’ve tried. If you are interested in past life regression, this is an excellent source.

Mary Summer Rain’s Guide to Dream Symbols by Mary Summer Rain and Alex Greystone
Did Grandma show up in a dream holding a rabbit by its ears while dancing ankles deep in chocolate sauce? We’ve all had dreams we believed were trying to tell us something but were just too weird to figure out.

Dreams are a great source of guidance when used properly. This book of 14,500 dream symbols makes getting guidance in our sleep easy. I’ve used this book for years. All you have to do is tell your guardian angels that if they want to get a message to you in your dreams, they should use the symbols in this book. Always pray for protection of your dreams so that they come from only loving sources on the other side, such as your loved ones and guardian angels.

The After Life Experiments by Dr. Gary E. Schwartz, Ph.D
Want proof that medium-ship is real? Read the Afterlife Experiments. This is a scientific study of medium ship. Sometimes you’ll have a hard time keeping your eyes open. Other times you won’t be able to put it down. It’s probably about as close to scientific proof of the survival of the consciousness as were ever going to get.
